Job Description

We are seeking a VP of Global Supply Chain Management to lead cross-functional teams [legal, regulatory, supply, brand, product, etc.], both internal and external, ensuring that the teams are moving the project towards an international distribution channel.

As a member of the Senior Management team, this individual will work alongside other executive team members in developing and executing the companyís global strategic plans.

Our client is focused on developing a global supply chain for its platform, both to provide high value distribution channels internationally for its products, as well as to identify strategy cultivation and manufacturing capabilities abroad. This individual will be initially responsible for the roll-out of these international projects and longer term will be responsible for the management of the international supply chain.

There will be travel required for this role 30%-40%, across Canada and Latin America. The purpose of this travel will be to liaison with the contacts on the ground, make sure everyone is kept up to speed and on the same page, ensuring that the deals move forward successfully.

Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain experience; including managing project activities leading to the successful execution.
- Bachelorís Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Science; PMP Certification is considered an asset.
- Highly skilled in contract negotiations and management. Proven track record of experience negotiating and managing supplier contracts.
- Experienced in managing various aspects of international trade and global logistics operations.
- Experience leading effectively across functional environments; driving decisions regarding overall manufacturing and supply chain priorities, allocation of human resources and finances, value of proposed projects, and effectiveness of manufacturing and supply chain performance.
- Proven experience establishing, developing, and implementing project plans with milestones and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders (Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, etc.).
- Experience conducting scenario planning and risk assessments; and ensuring accountability of team members for deliverables. †
- Experience developing and implementing project plans.
- Experienced liaison, with third party partners, suppliers, distributors, etc.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure environment of a fast-growing international company.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
